Ferno LBS (Large Body Surface) Jr. Bariatric Board - FNO-0821936

The Ferno LBS (Large Body Surface) Jr. Bariatric Board (LBS Jr.) attachment includes Mounting Blocks, a Manta Rescue Aid (Model 132 / #0382969), pillow wedge, set of restraint extenders, and necessary hardware to attach it to the ambulance cot.

The LBS Jr. provides a simple solution to quickly and easily convert a Ferno ambulance cot into a bariatric transfer/transport system, eliminating the need to buy a separate, dedicated stretcher. This board is compatible with the POWERX Powered Ambulance Trolley, iNX Integrated Patient Transport and Loading System, and POWER X1, 35-P PROFlexX, 35-X PROFlexX, 93-H PROFlexx, 93P PROFlexX, and POWERFlexx+ ambulance cots.

The LBS Jr. increases the width of the cot to 106 cm to accommodate larger patients, without affecting the function of the cot. This model is slightly larger than the LBS, but offers more flexibility with foldable side wings. The LBS Jr. is geared toward people who have van-type ambulances or anyone with a wall-mount kit.

The LBS Jr.'s folding wings, when folded up, reduce its profile from 41" to 29" for better maneuverability through doorways. It folds flat for easy storage in an ambulance, and can be deployed for use in minutes.

Note: Please study board specifications to determine if the LBS Jr. will fit in your space, and contact our team with any compatibility questions.

Maintenance Tips
  • Inspect for Wear or Damage: Regularly check the kickstand for any signs of damage, wear, or corrosion. Ensure that all parts are intact, including the base, supports, and locking mechanisms. Replace any damaged or worn components immediately.

  • Check Stability: Ensure that the kickstand provides a stable and secure position for the dialysis equipment. The stand should remain firm and balanced during use, with no wobbling or instability.

  • Lubricate Moving Parts: If the kickstand has any moving components or joints, lubricate them periodically with a non-corrosive lubricant to prevent sticking and wear. This will also ensure smooth adjustment and folding when needed.

  • Tighten Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts, screws, and fasteners for tightness. Loose fasteners can compromise the stability and safety of the kickstand, so tighten them as necessary.

  • Cleaning: Clean the kickstand after each use to remove dirt, fluids, and contaminants. Use a mild detergent and disinfectant, avoiding harsh chemicals that could damage the materials. Dry thoroughly after cleaning.

  • Check for Secure Locking: Test the locking mechanism of the kickstand to ensure it holds securely when extended. If the lock is not functioning properly, address the issue before use to ensure safety.

  • Check Feet and Base: Inspect the feet or base of the kickstand for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure they are intact and provide proper support. Replace feet if they are worn down or damaged.

  • Proper Storage: When not in use, store the dialysis kickstand in a clean, dry area away from excessive moisture, heat, or direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure may cause wear or degradation of the materials.
